The Cause – Global Garden and Global Literacy

Teachers, students, faculty and staff at Bristow Run ES have committed to becoming global citizens. Teachers are working hard to infuse global lessons into an already packed curriculum. Part of the proceeds of this event will go to help our teachers supply students with meaningful information through literacy materials. Also, our newly named Global Garden is currently under renovation. In conjunction with Vulcan Quarry, Virginia Cooperative Extension of Virginia Tech, and the volunteers of the Garden Committee of Bristow Run ES, the revitalization is shaping up to be a large project. Because of the opportunity for connection to our school-wide global theme, this year’s funds will support the beautification of the unique Global Garden.
